How to share inventory between Shopify products
Sell the same physical stock on multiple Shopify product pages. Learn when to link inventory, how quantities work, and how to set up shared stock.
LinkStock keeps Shopify listings that sell the same physical units on one Available Quantity, separately at each Location.
Free for up to 9 linked items. Setup reads your inventory and changes nothing.

Hamburg keeps its own count: 6
All 3 listings share 18 available at Berlin. Sell one on any listing to see the others follow.
Shopify counts every listing on its own. LinkStock links the ones that sell from the same shelf, after you’ve checked them.
The initial import brings in products, Inventory Items and Locations. It doesn’t change a single quantity.
Each participating Location keeps its own count. Decide how a new group starts when quantities differ: Let me decide, Use lowest stock or Use highest stock.
Search by product, variant, SKU or barcode, or start from a suggestion. Inventory Items take part at Locations where they’re already stocked.
From then on, a movement on any linked listing sets the group’s next shared quantity, and the other listings follow.
Inventory Items that share a SKU or barcode arrive as suggested groups. A match is a reason to look, not proof of shared stock, so nothing is linked until you’ve reviewed every item. When labels differ, build the group by hand.

Preview controls. They don’t create or change a Stock Group.
LinkStock changes one number, in the groups you enable, at the Locations you choose. This is the whole boundary.
Synchronization is asynchronous. LinkStock responds to verified inventory movements reported by Shopify. Completion time isn’t guaranteed.
A linked item is one Inventory Item in a Stock Group. Plans differ only in how many you can link.

No. The initial import and setup do not change stock levels. Creating and enabling Stock Groups is a separate step; review their starting quantities before confirming.
Read in the FAQA group represents one physical stock pool per location. Three linked listings with 12 available represent the same 12 units, not 36 units. Review the starting quantity rule when existing quantities differ.
Read in the FAQNo. You choose the Inventory Items in a Stock Group. SKUs and barcodes help with search and suggestions, but they are not the identity used for group membership.
Read in the FAQYes. Each participating location synchronizes independently. LinkStock does not transfer or combine stock between locations.
Read in the FAQShopify has no inventory assignment for that item at that location. This is different from zero stock. Manage the assignment in Shopify; LinkStock does not create it.
Read in the FAQYes. Paid plans offer yearly billing with two months free: pay the equivalent of ten monthly payments upfront for a year. The linked item limits and features are the same for monthly and yearly billing. Choose your billing frequency on Shopify’s plan selection page.
